A Typical Week

A Week of an ACHS Band Member

Rehearsals:

Members of the ACHS Band rehearse on Mondays and Thurdsdays after school from 3-6pm.   The rehearsal begins with either listening to judge's tapes from the previous week's competition or with stretching.    The rehearsal will then move to an intense music rehearsal and then a review of marching basics.   The rehearsal will conclude with run throughs of the field show and a group outbriefing.   Breaks will be given throughout the rehearsal to give students the chance to sit down and get some water.

A WEEK DURING THE SEASON:

Monday: Rehearsal 3-6pm
Thursday: Rehearsal 3-6pm
Friday: Football Game 6- 10:30pm
Saturday: Competition 3-11pm

It may seem like a lot of time, but because of the "family nature" of the band the time goes by quickly and the season seems too short.
